Pride of Maui (Elua) · Ma'alaea Harbor
Pride of Maui's Elua is a modern power yacht with an air-conditioned cabin that leaves Ma'alaea's slip 68 early, capped at 40 guests, for Molokini and a turtle stop. Pick it for space, service and calm water: it's the highest-rated trip on this site, and guests say it reaches the spots first.

Elua ("two" in Hawaiian) is the second, smaller boat of Pride of Maui: a 62-foot luxury power catamaran certified for 49 and sold to 40 at most on Viator. It has an air-conditioned cabin, a hot shower and clean restrooms, and guests keep mentioning how much room there is. Breakfast is muffins, croissants, fruit, Maui coffee and orange juice. Lunch is a burger, teriyaki chicken or an island fish sandwich, with vegan and vegetarian options if you ask ahead, and the open bar includes local beer, wine, hard seltzer and the captain's Mai Tai.
The schedule is the selling point. Elua leaves early, ahead of most of the fleet, and reviewers say they reached the snorkel spots first, while the sea was calm and empty. The plan is Molokini and a turtle site, with wetsuit tops available for the cooler crater water. Weather still rules: in October 2026 one group lost its first site to wind, and the captain found another.
It's the most expensive trip on this site at $318, and not everything is luxury: you still self-drive to Ma'alaea and pay to park. Full-face masks aren't allowed, and SNUBA, sold on the big Pride of Maui, isn't offered on Elua. If you want a sailboat at a lower price, compare the Ali'i Nui.
On the ocean side of Ma'alaea Harbor by the seawall. Look for the sign "Elua Modern Luxury Yacht".
Pastries, fruit and coffee on the way out, with a safety briefing and gear fitting.
Snorkel the crescent with a crew member in the water; wetsuit tops on request.
Second stop along the coast for green sea turtles, then lunch.
Open bar on the ride home, a hot shower before you dock.
★★★★★The yatch was very nice, new, and clean. They got us out to all the spots first, so we got to see a lot of wildlife, while the ocean was still calm, and uncrowded.
★★★★★Appreciated option of wet suit top as Molokini water colder, as well as hot shower & clean toilets after superb Molokini snorkeling. Food delicious & plentiful.
★★★★★The wind and weather conditions changed, preventing us from snorkeling in the first location. But that didn't stop the Captain from finding us an alternative spot that was fantastic.
★★★★★The best part was the boat wasn’t over sold so there was plenty of room for everyone. Emily was great, she was out on each snorkel and kept us continually informed.

Same company, different boats. Elua is a 62-foot yacht with an air-conditioned cabin and up to 40 guests, aimed at a calmer day. The Pride of Maui is a 65-foot catamaran with about 90 guests, a slide and SNUBA.
Four. Children 4 to 12 pay a child fare; under-4s can't come on this trip. Guests under 21 get non-alcoholic drinks.
Viator lists 6:30 AM at slip 68. The trip lasts about five hours, so you're back around midday.
If space and service matter, guests think so: it's rated 5.0 from 651 reviews. The snorkel sites are the same as on cheaper boats, so you pay for fewer people, better food and drinks and the early start. Our price guide lines it up against the rest.
